Well-known driver trio continues to chase points

The final sprint of the 2021 DTM Trophy season kicks off next weekend. The fifth of seven race weekends is scheduled in the “Cathedral of Speed”.

The TT Circuit in Assen – known as a motorcycle race track – will host GT sprint races for junior drivers for the first time as part of the DTM. As at the Red Bull Ring, spectators are again welcome in the grandstands and the paddock.

Now Lucas Mauron (CH) wants to really attack again. The Swiss, who achieved his strongest results last year in the second half of the season, recently celebrated his first podium finish of the season at the Nürburgring with second place overall.

Teammate Sophie Hofmann (DE) has steadily improved over the course of the eight sprint races so far and hopes to take another step forward in her development on her favorite track in the Netherlands.

The performance curve is also clearly pointing upwards for Heide-Motorsport’s third driver, Sebastian Kornely (DE). After making his debut in the DTM Trophy and in the “LIQUI MOLY”-branded Audi R8 LMS GT just two weeks ago at the Red Bull Ring, he is highly motivated for the start.

The community of the motorsport family, which is also very close to the heart of the team from Witten, must not be neglected. In addition to autograph sessions by the three drivers and giveaways for our young fans, donations will continue to be collected for the flood victims along the Ahr River under the hashtag #raceAHRdonation.
More information about the fundraiser will always be posted on www.raceahrdonation.com.
